Mike is a genuinely awesome trainer. He helped me get stronger after my MVA. After my very humbling initial assessment he created a training plan for me that helped me recover and get back to a normal active life faster. He pushed me where I needed it and through that I discovered I could lift a lot heavier than what I thought I could. He is a wealth of information when it comes to strength training and gives excellent advice on what supplements will work for you. On top of all that he is hilarious and is a ray of sunshine to be around. I highly recommend his services.
After a bad car accident where I was rear ended and left with a traumatic neck injury, I turned to Mike to help me recover. As someone who did not miss a workout for 20 years, this injury devastated my life. Mike is a genuine person who actually listens to hear and customizes personal plans for your needs. He personally trained me to strengthen my body to help with my arthritic knees and foot. My plan was cautious, compact and very effective. I was able to gain strength not only physically but mentally as well. As a nutritional coach Mike also was successful at getting my gut health regulated and getting off some prescriptions! I am also managing pain with vitamins while reducing over the counter N-SAIDS. I could not be more pleased with my progress and truly trust his process as I am feeling the benefits from his vast knowledge on the body and its functions. Mike was my trainer for almost a year. He was highly recommended when I mentioned to other health care providers that I was looking to start strength training in hopes of helping my body recover.A couple years ago I was involved in a motor vehicle accident while I was 5 months pregnant and have ever since been experiencing significant lower back pain along with neck pain.Mike put me through many physical tests to see where my strengths & weaknesses were. He then took that information and built workouts customized to my injuries which included stretching & weight training.Throughout the course of my training with Mike, he very slowly & safely increased the weights to ensure that I was continuously being challenged, without causing any further issues.Mike’s ability to adapt to each of his client’s needs is wonderful.I would highly recommend Mike! He is very knowledgeable in his field and has a great sense of humor! You won’t be disappointed!!
Mike did a thorough assessment of strength & imbalances and designed two workouts geared towards strengthening and rehabilitation of recurring injuries. Super effective as long as I do the workouts! Would love a group setting to increase motivation and commitment to the gym work.

I have to give Mcissaac Health care 5 stars. This is a very professional service, with the most extreme intensive over view of the total body I have experienced. I felt that every aspect of my injuries where evaluated worked on including dietary effects and all body systems . There where constant records and at times daily contact to ensure my health. I felt respected listened too and encouraged. I also found their holistic approach to health has taught me a tremdous amount in physical active injury recovery and avoidance as well as the effects of food and health life style. All this was all done during the pandemic so distance was not issue. I was supervised via zoom as my own personal trainer watched and guided each move. I had equipment required sent to my door and given personal lesson on use as each exercise and movement was orcastrated according to my injuries. Michael is such a fantastic personal trainer! When I first started seeing him I had been recently injured in a car accident so I hadn’t worked out in a very long time. He was so encouraging and knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable with getting back into the gym and practicing self-care. His workout plans were detailed but also very clear and he did a great job explaining exactly what the exercises were targeting and what we were trying to accomplish by doing them. He made the whole process of going to the gym feel much less intimidating and I could not recommend him enough!
Mike has been my personal trainer for a little over a year. I’ve had 2 spinal surgeries & a crushed elbow/broken arm combo which have provided a few challenges. Mike put me through many physical tests to see where my strengths & weaknesses were. He then took that information & built a couple of workouts which included stretching & weight training. Over my training sessions, he very slowly & safely increases the weight to ensure that I’m continuously being challenged. I have been training with Michael since 2019. He is by far the most knowledgeable kinesiologist I have worked with since a motor vehicle accident in 2017 left me with serious cross body soft tissue issues.Other practictioners told me I would never lift weights again after my accident. Michael’s training had me deadlifting 90lbs on one leg three years later.I never thought even before my accident I would be this strong. Working with Michael has been one of the best investments I have made in my health and future aging. I was referred to Michael in August for soft tissue injuries from a car accident after seeing massage therapy, physio therapy, and a chiropractor.While those alleviated some of the pain, Michael focused on getting everything stronger to support those injuries in recovery. After 12 weeks with him at 2 sessions per week, I feel 10x better.Michael will take the time to explain each step in the exercise, explaining which muscles the particular exercise focuses on and how it will help the problem area in the long run.He is very informative and has no problem explaining any questions that may arise.It is very convenient that Michael will complete the sessions in the comfort of your own home.He is one of the most supportive therapies that I have completed since my car accident.I highly recommend Michael!

Mike has been my personal trainer for over 11 years. When I started with him at 59, I didn’t have any injuries but felt that an assessment was maybe a good idea. He is extremely detailed in his approach and immediately identified areas that needed adjustment. For me, the time spent with him has been invaluable. Having just turned 70, his whole body workout approach, has allowed me to continue doing all of the activities that I enjoyed at my younger age. For me, my requirement has been primarily maintenance as opposed to rehabilitation, but he has treated family members and friends successfully who have required the latter. I use the services of a chiropractor and massage therapist and all 3 work together through a team approach. I have worked with him at the gym as well as virtually during the worst times of covid. Both approaches work equally well. Being a kinesiologist, his knowledge is well rounded and all inclusive. I would highly recommend him, whether you need rehabilitation or just day to day maintenance.
My wife and I have availed of McIsaac Health and Kinesiologist support for about 10 years. We were both in our 50’s at the time and were advised by massage and chiropractic caregivers to avail of rehabilitative support as a result of lingering repetitive strain and past injuries (broken bones and sprains). Michael McIsaac assessed our conditions at the time and initiated exercise routines that addressed our issues, with continual review and upgrades of the routines to accommodate ongoing changes to our conditions. For many years, I have been on several medications including pain meds, statins, blood pressure meds, acid reflux meds, low dose aspirin, and hypothyroid meds. In the beginning, it may have been appropriate to be on these pharmaceuticals. However, within the last 3 years my son (Michael McIsaac) gently encouraged me to consider the influence of proper nutrition and its relationship to my health.

Michael slowly reduced my sugar intake/refined carbohydrates in all of its forms (bread, table sugar, sweets, fruit juices, excessive fruit consumption) while having me increase my fat consumption (coconut oil, avocado oil, olive oil, flax oil) and vegetable intake. 

After I became comfortable with these changes, Michael then suggested I supplement with omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D3, and a multivitamin to account for potential micronutrient deficiencies (as he termed it).

Surprisingly, these changes made the medications I was taking redundant. In collaboration with my family physician and Michael, I was slowly weaned (while being closely monitored) off of most medications except my thyroid meds at the age of 72. In short, it is never too late to try, and it can be done. I love you Michael.

At 59 years old, some may ask why I would start seeing a Kinesiologist. Did I have issues? None that I knew of, except I was getting old! McIsaac Health had been working with my wife (Dale Noseworthy) and she did have back issues that caused serious distress.

The improvements that I saw in her situation after only a short time were remarkable. My goal when I started was to maintain my activity level as I entered my 60’s. After 3 years with MHS, I continue to improve. I am amazed at how I feel and regular, consistent, and intelligently designed workouts are the key.

For those of you who may think that you are too old to consider starting let me provide my words of wisdom; while you are never too young to seek health and fitness, you are most definitely never too old!

I’ve had back problems for many years. In 2009, my Chiropractor recommended strength and conditioning and suggested I contact a Kinesiologist (McIsaac Health). As a result, I’m much stronger now and my back problems are much more infrequent; small problems don’t become big ones anymore.

I stay with the program because when there is an issue, instead of missing a workout, we can always figure a way to work around it and that means I don’t regress. If I didn’t have regular appointments, I would find any excuse to avoid working out. Do I like working out? Absolutely not! Do I enjoy the benefits…absolutely!

Jonathan sustained a brain injury when he was 2 years old. As a result, his balance has been affected, in addition to his co-ordination, flexibility, and fine motor skills. It was advised that Jonathan work with a Kinesiologist to help improve his posture, core stability, flexibility, and overall strength.

Our history with McIsaac Health dates back several years. Our initial referral was due to repetitive strains and discomfort related to work and activities of daily living. We were seeing a Chiropractor and a Registered Message Therapist, and they both recommended we consider seeing a Kinesiologist to compliment and reinforce their therapeutic interventions.

After a very thorough consultation, movement screen (Functional Movement Screen), and several guided training sessions, we were quickly noticing changes to our flexibility and strength in all the right places. Our endurance and quality of movement were also greatly improved when doing routine tasks, to the point that muscle relaxers and painkillers became a thing of the past!

I have been involved in 2 major car accidents and sustained whiplash and lower back injuries, and a family member recommended Kinesiology to me. My experience with McIsaac Health has been a very positive one. From the very beginning, I got a customized exercise plan that accommodated my injuries and helped me gain strength while losing my post-accident weight (which was a definite bonus!).

One of the things I am most grateful for was that McIsaac Health ensured I had the proper home equipment to perform soft tissue work independently, which has decreased my pain significantly. They were attentive during my sessions and answered all of my questions – even the ones regarding nutrition, as I have a gluten allergy and am still navigating how to properly eat on a gluten-free diet.
